About The University of the Virgin Islands:

The University of the Virgin Islands (UVI) can be found in the middle of the Caribbean destinations. UVI is situated in one of the most well-known vacation spots in the world. UVI provides an important and interesting atmosphere for teaching the learners of the 21st century.

The University of the Virgin Islands founded in 1962. The University of the Virgin Islands is a public, co-ed university. Roughly 2,700 learners are registered on the two campuses: the Albert A. Sheen Campus on St. Croix and the St. Thomas campus. The institution offers 38 undergraduate programs and seven graduate programs across its five institutions and schools.

The University of the Virgin Islands also improves the learners by providing arts and enjoyment of the island. The Fitness center provides as the host for basketball that draws NCAA Division. The University of the Virgin Islands increases more than 7,000 graduates who succeed as doctors, attorneys, judges, politicians, university directors, instructors, the medical staff and many other professionals.

The University of the Virgin Islands is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Because of its commitment to educational quality and enhancement through fellow assessment CHE has appeared as a recognized leader to promote and guaranteeing quality and enhancement in college.

Housing Facilities in The University of the Virgin Islands:

The housing on the St. Croix Campus is Started out for student housing in Jan 1999. It consists of a 102-bed residential service. The Division of Student Life and Development provides a wide range of residential programs designed to provide an extensive learning atmosphere. This student housing encourages the connections of learners from various places, cultural background scenes, and societies.

Financial Aid by The University of the Virgin Islands:

The aid provided by the university may not always meet the student's complete need. It is the student's and a person's responsibility to pay the difference between the student's knowledge and available aid. The Financial Aid Office looks for the academic price of learners based on available financing. All learners are motivated to apply for financial aid. This may be in the form of allows, grants,loans or part-time employment.

Identifying Qualifications for Aid

Financial aid qualification is identified through the use of the Free Application for Government Federal Student Aid form (FAFSA). FAFSA applications are obtainable on both campuses of the University, and on online at www.fafsa.gov. To complete this application, the learners are required to carry their resources and family income.

Scholarship:

University of the Virgin Islands provides grants for the prospective and current registered Individuals. Scholarships are granted on the basis of scholastic ability. The minimum required GPA is "B." Grant reports are usually made during the month of Feb at which scholarship programs will be available in the Office of Institutional Advancement and on the college's website.
